The Eheim Ecco Pro 2234 filter is designed with innovative technology combined with simple operation and design. The filter provides three stage filtration of mechanical, chemical and biological for fresh or saltwater aquariums up to 60 gallons. It has a flow rate of 145 GPH and a delivery head of 4 foot and 3 inches. The Eheim Ecco 2234 comes complete with filter media and is immediately ready for operation. Practical filter media containers, safety hose connections and shut-off taps make operation and maintenance simple.The filter has three convenient interlocking media baskets that allow for versatility and they also help to prevent water from by-passing the filter media. The baskets also allow for easy maintenance. A long service life can be expected with proper media setup. The media may not need to be cleaned for 3 to 6 months on average. The multifunction handle is unique to this filter. In addition to locking and unlocking the filter and being used as a carrying handle, it functions as a priming device. After simply connecting the intake and output hoses and arranging the media baskets, move the handle down to the start position. The water flow will begin, when the filter is full, just plug it in.The intake and output hose attachments are designed to swivel 360 degrees to ensure kink-free hose connections. A silicone based and integrate o-ring ensures leak-free and secure operation. The impeller has a ceramic shaft and a carbon bearing for a silent operation.
